Obama to ban bullets by executive action, threatens top-selling AR-15 rifle

It’s starting. 

As promised, President Obama is using executive actions to impose gun control on the nation, targeting the top-selling rifle in the country, the AR-15 style semi-automatic, with a ban on one of the most-used AR bullets by sportsmen and target shooters. 

 The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives this month revealed that it is proposing to put the ban on 5.56 mm ammo on a fast track, immediately driving up the price of the bullets and prompting retailers, including the huge outdoors company Cabela’s, to urge sportsmen to urge Congress to stop the president.

Wednesday night, Rep. Bob Goodlatte, the Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, stepped in with a critical letter to the bureau demanding it explain the surprise and abrupt bullet ban. The letter is shown below.

The National Rifle Association, which is working with Goodlatte to gather co-signers, told Secrets that 30 House members have already co-signed the letter and Goodlatte and the NRA are hoping to get a total of 100 fast.

"The Obama administration was unable to ban America's most popular sporting rifle through the legislative process, so now it's trying to ban commonly owned and used ammunition through regulation," said Chris W. Cox, executive director of the NRA-ILA, the group's policy and lobby shop. "The NRA and our tens of millions of supporters across the country will fight to stop President Obama's latest attack on our Second Amendment freedoms."

At issue is so-called “armor-piercing” ammunition, an exemption for those bullets mostly used for sport by AR-15 owners, and the recent popularity of pistol-style ARs that use the ammo.

The inexpensive 5.56 M885 ammo, commonly called green tips, have been exempt for years, as have higher-caliber ammunition that also easily pierces the type of soft armor worn by police, because it’s mostly used by target shooters, not criminals. The agency proposes to reclassify it as armor-piercing and not exempt.

But now BATFE says that since the bullets can be used in semi-automatic handguns they pose a threat to police and must be banned from production, sale and use. But, as Goodlatte noted, the agency offered no proof. Federal agencies will still be allowed to buy the ammo.

“This round is amongst the most commonly used in the most popular rifle design in America, the AR-15. Millions upon millions of M855 rounds have been sold and used in the U.S., yet ATF has not even alleged — much less offered evidence — that even one such round has ever been fired from a handgun at a police officer,” said Goodlatte’s letter.

Even some police don’t buy the administration’s claim. “Criminals aren't going to go out and buy a $1,000 AR pistol,” Brent Ball, owner of 417 Guns in Springfield, Mo., and a 17-year veteran police officer told the Springfield News-Leader. “As a police officer I'm not worried about AR pistols because you can see them. It's the small gun in a guy's hand you can't see that kills you.”

Many see the bullet ban as an assault on the AR-15 and Obama’s back-door bid to end production and sale.

“We are concerned,” said Justin Anderson with Hyatt Gun Shop in Charlotte, N.C., one of the nation’s top sellers of AR-15 style rifles. “Frankly, we're always concerned when the government uses back-door methods to impose quasi-gun control.”

Groups like the National Shooting Sports Foundation suggest that under BATFE’s new rule, other calibers like popular deer hunting .308 bullets could be banned because they also are used in AR platforms, some of which can be turned into pistol-style guns. “This will have a detrimental effect on hunting nationwide,” said the group.

U.S. Senate Democrats invite Netanyahu to meeting during visit

(Reuters) - Two senior U.S. Senate Democrats invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday to a closed-door meeting with Democratic senators during his upcoming visit to Washington, warning that making U.S.-Israeli relations a partisan political issue could have "lasting repercussions."

Senators Richard Durbin and Dianne Feinstein extended the invitation "to maintain Israel's dialogue with both political parties in Congress," according to a letter to the Israeli leader seen by Reuters.

Netanyahu has faced criticism at home and abroad for his plans to address Congress on Iran's nuclear program on March 3, just two weeks before Israeli elections and at a sensitive point in international negotiations with Tehran.

The Israeli leader accepted the invitation from Republican leaders in the U.S. Congress, who broke diplomatic protocol by consulting neither Democrats in Congress nor Democratic President Barack Obama's administration.

"This unprecedented move threatens to undermine the important bipartisan approach towards Israel - which as long-standing supporters of Israel troubles us deeply," Durbin and Feinstein wrote.

"It sacrifices deep and well-established cooperation on Israel for short-term partisan points - something that should never be done with Israeli security and which we fear could have lasting repercussions," they said.

Critics have accused Netanyahu of placing his ties to Republicans above Israel's relations with the United States, its most important ally. U.S.-born Ron Dermer, Israeli's ambassador to Washington, is a former Republican political operative.

Although some Democrats have said they would not attend Netanyahu's speech to the joint meeting of the House of Representatives and Senate, the session proposed by Durbin and Feinstein would be in addition to the address. It is not intended as an alternative, a Durbin aide said.

The two senators have not indicated publicly whether they planned to be at the Israeli leader's address, their spokesmen said.

Obama has declined to meet Netanyahu during his trip to Washington, citing what he has said is U.S. protocol not to meet world leaders shortly before national elections. Israelis are due to vote on March 17.

Durbin is the No. 2 Democrat in the U.S. Senate. Feinstein, who has been in the Senate since 1992, is the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee and a senior member of the Appropriations and Judiciary committees.

The letter was sent on Monday evening. The Israeli Embassy did not have an immediate response to the invitation.

Jamaat Al Fukra, MOA, and Soldiers of Allah have moved into the neighborhood and just happen to be one of the most feared terrorist groups in existence. They are led by Islamic Terrorist Sheikh Mubarack Al Gilani from his headquarters in Hancock NY and his home in Lahore Pakistan.

Gilani has known ties to Hamas, The Muslim  Brotherhood, Al Qaeda, ISIS, Osama Bin Laden and Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman (The blind Sheikh) and many others.
Jamaat Al Faruq, Muslims Of America camps are spread all over the US and in Tennessee.
These groups have an extremely violent recent past that includes mass fire-bombings, murder, bank robberies, fraud and weapons charges.

The FBI, DHS, State Department and the local police have been watching this group for years, have arrested many and provided surveillance of property for years. In recent years they have backed off and this is very concerning. With the following statements made by various federal agencies I am very surprised they are not US enemy number one.

1n 1998 the State Department provided a Patterns of Global Terrorism report on Jamaat Al Faruq that described them as an “Islamic sect that seeks to purify Islam through violence.”
In 2007 an FBI record that was recently declassified in May 2013 said this about Al Faruq in File number 199M-HO-61310

“The MOA is now an autonomous organization which possesses an infrastructure capable of planning and mounting terrorist campaigns overseas and within the U.S.”
“The documented propensity for violence by this organization supports the belief the leadership of the MOA extols membership to pursue a policy of jihad or holy war against individuals or groups it considers enemies of Islam, which includes the U.S. Government.” Additionally, The Clarion Project, a non partisan group that investigates Islamic extremism said that in 2002, a State Department spokesperson said the following when asked why MOA stopped appearing in the Department’s annual terrorism reports. 

The State Departments reply was: -“Jamaat ul-Fuqra has never been designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. It was included in several recent annual terrorism reports under ‘other terrorist groups,’ i.e., groups that had carried out acts of terrorism but that were not formally designated by the Secretary of State. However, because of the group’s inactivity during 2000, it was not included in the most recent terrorism report covering that calendar year.” Because, they were essentially quiet in 2002, they were not included in the report.

In 2005, the Department of Homeland Security issued a report listed Jamaat ul-Fuqra (and specifically MOA) as a possible sponsor of a terrorist attack on the U.S. Remember, these people live in your neighborhood untouched by local, state and federal agencies and we are the enemy?

New Jersey Arrests 72 Year Old For Antique Flintlock Pistol Possession

After Shaneen Allen and Brian Aitken, you’d think that officials in New Jersey would have finally figured out that they need to stop persecuting honest gun owners and instead do their job — targeting hardened criminals.

 Well apparently not, at least not in Cumberland County. 72-year old retired teacher and military academy graduate Gordon Van Gilder was stopped by a Cumberland County sheriff’s deputy for a minor traffic violation. When he volunteered that he had an antique flintlock pistol with him, he was promptly arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, which carries up to a ten-year prison sentence. Van Gilder’s case is currently stalled while prosecutors claim they are doing “ballistics testing” on the 300-year-old, smooth-bore collectible.

Denmark: Investigators Uncovering Possible Link Between Islamic State and Free Speech Event Shooter

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — Danish police shot and killed a man early Sunday suspected of carrying out shooting attacks at a free speech event and then at a Copenhagen synagogue, killing two men, including a member of Denmark’s Jewish community. Five police officers were also wounded in the attacks.

“Denmark has been hit by terror,” Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt said. “We do not know the motive for the alleged perpetrator’s actions, but we know that there are forces that want to hurt Denmark. They want to rebuke our freedom of speech.”

Jens Madsen, head of the Danish intelligence agency PET, said investigators believe the gunman was inspired by Islamic radicalism.

“PET is working on a theory that the perpetrator could have been inspired by the events in Paris. He could also have been inspired by material sent out by (the Islamic State group) and others,” Madsen said.

Islamic radicals carried out a massacre at the Charlie Hebdo newsroom in Paris last month, followed by an attack on Jews at a kosher grocery store, taking the lives of 17 victims.

At a news conference Madsen also said investigators have identified the suspect and that he is someone who had been on the agency’s “radar.” He did not reveal his identity.

Denmark’s Chief Rabbi, Jair Melchior, identified the Jewish victim as Dan Uzan, 37, a longtime security guard for the 7,000-strong community. He was guarding a building behind the synagogue during a bat mitzvah when he was shot in the head. Two police officers who were there were slightly wounded.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decried the attack and said his government plans to encourage a “massive immigration” of Jews from Europe.

“Again, Jews were murdered on European soil just because they were Jews,” Netanyahu said at the start of his Cabinet meeting Sunday. “This wave of attacks is expected to continue, as well as murderous anti-Semitic attacks. Jews deserve security in every country, but we say to our Jewish brothers and sisters, Israel is your home.”

Other leaders also condemned the attacks, including British Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and EU President Donald Tusk,

“The shootings in Copenhagen are an appalling attack on free speech and religious freedom,” Cameron said. “Two innocent people have been murdered simply for their beliefs and my thoughts are with their loved ones and all those injured at this tragic time.”

The first shooting happened before 4 p.m. Saturday when the gunman used an automatic weapon to shoot through the windows of the Krudttoenden cultural center during a panel discussion on freedom of expression featuring a Swedish artist who had caricatured the Prophet Muhammad. The artist, Lars Vilks, was whisked away unharmed by his bodyguards but a 55-year-old man attending the event was killed, while three police officers were wounded, authorities said.

The attack at the synagogue occurred hours later, shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday.

About four hours later, the shooter was confronted by police as he returned to an address that they were keeping under surveillance. Investigators described him as 25 to 30 years old with an athletic build and carrying a black automatic weapon. They released a blurred photograph of the suspect wearing dark clothes and a scarf covering part of his face.

Oliver Larsen, 26, who lives in a building above the street where the suspect was shot dead, said he was awoken at 5 a.m. by the sound of shooting.

“I looked out of the window to see what was going on and I saw a lot of policemen and a guy lying on the street; he was probably dead,” Larsen told the AP.

Vilks, a 68-year-old artist who has faced numerous death threats for depicting Muhammad as a dog in 2007, told The Associated Press he believed he was the intended target of the first shooting, which happened at a panel discussion titled “Art, blasphemy and freedom of expression.”

“What other motive could there be? It’s possible it was inspired by Charlie Hebdo,” he said, referring to the Jan. 7 attack by Islamic extremists on the French newspaper that had angered Muslims by lampooning Muhammad.

The depiction of the prophet is deemed insulting to many followers of Islam. According to mainstream Islamic tradition, any physical depiction of the Prophet Muhammad — even a respectful one — is considered blasphemous.

While many Muslims have expressed disgust at the deadly assault on the Charlie Hebdo employees, many were also deeply offended by its cartoons lampooning Muhammad.

The attacks took place two days after Denmark and its partners in the European Union agreed to dramatically boost cooperation in the counter-terrorism field as a result of the January attacks in Paris, which claimed the lives of 17 victims.

The EU’s law enforcement agency, Europol, said Sunday it was in contact with Danish authorities and proposing its help to find out as much as possible about the Copenhagen gunman and whether he was acting alone or in concert with others.

“We are offering our expertise and capabilities from our anti-terrorist unit including access to our databases,” said Europol spokesman Soeren Pedersen.

ISIS and Boko Haram Are Teaming Up For Terror

At a Senate hearing, a top counterterrorism official linked terrorist groups ISIS and Boko Haram for the first time.
Extremist groups Boko Haram and ISIS are growing increasingly connected in ways that could magnify their abilities to inflict violence and terror, a senior intelligence official revealed Thursday.

National Counterterrorism Center Director Nicholas Rasmussen drew attention to “the increased intercommunication between Boko Haram and other terrorist groups in the northern part of, the northwestern part of Africa, and even with ISIL” during a hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

He then pointed out that these extremist groups were broadening their reach through mutual contact.

“All of that just adds to the picture of an interconnected terrorist network with the ability to share resources, personnel, expertise, and tradecraft in a way that serves as a multiplier to their own capabilities, and that’s a disturbing trend,” Rasmussen told the panel.

Boko Haram has previously been known to mirror the so-called Islamic State’s online media campaigns and push for a land grab, in a way that could have paved the road to future coordination.

But this is the first time that the intelligence community has acknowledged that there was some degree of communication and interconnectivity between the two groups.

As recently as last week, two intelligence officials were playing down the prospect of cooperation between Boko Haram and ISIS. “There is no known tactical cooperation or leadership communication,” an intelligence official said at a briefing last week with a group of reporters. The officials held the briefing on the condition of anonymity.

The U.S. government is arguing that its coalition against ISIS is succeeding in slowing the extremist group’s momentum on the battlefield in Iraq and Syria. But from a strategic vantage point, ISIS has been able to expand its reach through additional affiliations in Africa and even South Asia.

“ISIL has reached out and developed affiliated relationships, endorsement-like relationships with groups outside of Iraq and Syria, including in North Africa, including in Algeria, and including in, I believe, Yemen as well,” Rasmussen said.

“All of that just adds to the picture of an interconnected terrorist network with the ability to share resources, personnel, expertise, and tradecraft in a way that serves as a multiplier to their own capabilities, and that’s a disturbing trend.”
Boko Haram’s emerging connections with ISIS could have implications in a war-authorization bill that Congress is now considering. In a draft version submitted to Congress by the White House, the president requested authority to use military force against the Islamic State “and associated forces,” without geographical limitations.

The administration’s acknowledgement of their mutual communication could hypothetically open the door to the authorization to use military force in West Africa against Boko Haram.

The AUMF draft proposed by the White House “likely allowed to the possibility that other networks… might align themselves with ISIL,” Rasmussen said Thursday. The language allows for the “development of new alliances, new alignments that we can’t foresee today.” Rasmussen did not specifically address whether the proposed AUMF could be used to target Boko Haram.

The so-called Islamic State, which recently announced the death of U.S. hostage Kayla Mueller and is responsible for the deaths of several more American hostages, has been undergoing a period of rising notoriety. It announced an expansion in Algeria, Egypt, Libya, and Saudi Arabia in November. Last month, it confirmed the formation of a South Asian affiliate.

Boko Haram, meanwhile, has been sowing terror in Nigeria—a campaign of “unprecedented violence,” according to Rasmussen. It has claimed responsibility for the kidnappings of five Westerners, positing a threat to American and Western interests, and in the past year captured military outposts in the northeast of Nigeria, giving it access and influence over a 380-mile portion of Nigeria’s international borders. Further, Rasmussen said in his testimony, Boko Haram’s violence has displaced over one million people within Nigeria.

Told by Rasmussen about the increasing connections between ISIS and Boko Haram, Democratic Sen. Mark Warner said the Senate Intelligence Committee should “keep our eye on” this issue. But Rasmussen had raised one difficulty regarding Boko Haram in previous testimony: “This is a part of the world where we do not the largest resource footprint,” he said.

It is not yet known how or when 26-year-old Mueller died. ISIS claimed last week she was killed by a Jordanian airstrike, but offered no immediate evidence.

Officials said Mueller's family received information from the captors that confirmed her death and the info was authenticated by the intelligence community.

"We are heartbroken to share that we've received confirmation that Kayla Jean Mueller has lost her life," Carl and Marsha Mueller, of Prescott, Ariz., said in a statement. "Kayla was a compassionate and devoted humanitarian.  She dedicated the whole of her young life to helping those in need of freedom, justice, and peace."


The family also released a handwritten letter from their daughter that they received last spring. 

The transcript of the letter is below:

Everyone, If you are receiving this letter it means I am still detained but my cell mates (starting from 11/2/2014) have been released. I have asked them to contact you + send you this letter. It's hard to know what to say. Please know that I am in a safe location, completely unharmed + healthy (put on weight in fact); I have been treated w/ the utmost respect + kindness.

I wanted to write you all a well thought out letter (but I didn't know if my cell mates would be leaving in the coming days or the coming months restricting my time but primarily) I could only but write the letter a paragraph at a time, just the thought of you all sends me into a fit of tears.

If you could say I have "suffered" at all throughout this whole experience it is only in knowing how much suffering I have put you all through; I will never ask you to forgive me as I do not deserve forgiveness.

I remember mom always telling me that all in all in the end the only one you really have is God. I have come to a place in experience where, in every sense of the word, I have surrendered myself to our creator b/c literally there was no else…. + by God + by your prayers I have felt tenderly cradled in freefall.

I have been shown in darkness, light + have learned that even in prison, one can be free. I am grateful. I have come to see that there is good in every situation, sometimes we just have to look for it. I pray each each day that if nothing else, you have felt a certain closeness + surrender to God as well + have formed a bond of love + support amongst one another…

I miss you all as if it has been a decade of forced separation. I have had many a long hour to think, to think of all the things I will do w/ Lex, our first family camping trip, the first meeting @ the airport. I DO NOT want the negotiations for my release to be your duty, if there is any other option take it, even if it takes more time. This should never have become your burden. President Obama issued a statement Tuesday, also acknowledging the young aid worker's death.

"In how she lived her life, she epitomized all that is good in our world," Obama said of Mueller. "She has been taken from us, but her legacy endures, inspiring all those who fight, each in their own way, for what is just and what is decent. "

"No matter how long it takes, the United States will find and bring to justice the terrorists who are responsible for Kayla's captivity and death," he said. "On this day, we take comfort in the fact that the future belongs not to those who destroy, but rather to the irrepressible force of human goodness that Kayla Mueller shall forever represent."

Fox News Middle East and terrorism analyst Walid Phares reacted to the latest death of an American while in ISIS captivity.

He told Martha MacCallum it may be time to ban Americans from traveling to any areas that are even close to ISIS-controlled territory.

Second Amendment to the United States Constitution - Article [II]

Article [II] (Amendment 2 - Bearing Arms)

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms. The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that the right belongs to individuals, while also ruling that the right is not unlimited and does not prohibit all regulation of either firearms or similar devices. State and local governments are limited to the same extent as the federal government from infringing this right per the incorporation of the Bill of Rights. The Second Amendment was adopted on December 15, 1791, as part of the first ten amendments contained in the Bill of Rights.

The Second Amendment was based partially on the right to keep and bear arms in English common-law and was influenced by the English Bill of Rights of 1689. Sir William Blackstone described this right as an auxiliary right, supporting the natural rights of self-defense, resistance to oppression, and the civic duty to act in concert in defense of the state.

In United States v. Cruikshank (1876), the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that, "The right to bear arms is not granted by the Constitution; neither is it in any manner dependent upon that instrument for its existence" and limited the applicability of the Second Amendment to the federal government.[In United States v. Miller (1939), the Supreme Court ruled that the federal government and the states could limit any weapon types not having a “reasonable relationship to the preservation or efficiency of a well regulated militia”.

In the twenty-first century, the amendment has been subjected to renewed academic inquiry and judicial interest.In District of Columbia v. Heller (2008), the Supreme Court handed down a landmark decision, expressly holding the amendment to protect an individual right to possess and carry firearms. In McDonald v. Chicago (2010), the Court clarified its earlier decisions that limited the amendment's impact to a restriction on the federal government, expressly holding that the Fourteenth Amendment applies the Second Amendment to state and local governments to the same extent that the Second Amendment applies to the federal government. Is he man, myth, or legend? We don’t know, but what we do know is that Jordan’s King Abdullah is a former commander of Jordan’s Special Forces, an airborne jump master, and a certified Cobra attack helicopter pilot.

King Abdullah even served in the British Army’s 13th/18th Royal Hussars (Queen Mary’s Own) as a reconnaissance troop leader after attending the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst in the UK.

Although King Abdullah is an incredible soldier, he is also a strong leader placing the well-being of his people first. He has created campaigns for increased housing and living standards, with access to health and education facilities. He has banned the detention of journalists in his country and has had open dialogue with the Pope, discussing the need for coexistence between faiths. 

King Abdullah even tried the diplomacy route with ISIS, offering a deal to trade prisoners for their captured fighter pilot Lt. Moaz Kasasbeh. That’s when the ISIS rats made their next big mistake and burned him alive. 

Jordan immediately responded to the savage execution by executing two Iraqi militants that ISIS wanted released. It is expected that Jordan will execute four more prisoners in the coming days. 

King Abdullah also declared a “relentless war” against the Islamic State and immediately began carrying out airstrikes against ISIS targets. The Jordanians vowed to immensely increase their involvement in the US-led coalition, and it won’t be limited to just airstrikes.

Jordan has a superior Special Forces program capable of conducting all manner of ops across the region, and their operatives are undoubtedly licking their lips in anticipation for the “earth-shattering” justice they are about to exact. 

ISIS may have gone all-in, but the house always wins.

Ted Cruz Is Giving Obama and Other Traitors a Reality Check With This New Bill

The agenda of ISIS is undeniably inhuman, but the Islamist group has still been successful in recruiting soldiers from all around the world – America included. However, in an effort to put a stop to this, Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) has recently set forth a bill that would strip any American of their citizenship should they be found to have left to fight alongside ISIS.


The idea of what is now known as the Expatriate Terrorist Act (E.T.A.) was actually introduced last year and seeks to tighten and update “existing regulations by which a U.S. citizen effectively renounces his or her citizenship,” according to the Washington Free Beacon.

Cruz is set to introduce the bill on Friday and says it’s partially on account of Obama’s “detached from reality” State of the Union address. “President Obama’s approach to foreign policy refuses to acknowledge the threats our enemies pose to our national security — it is detached from reality and making the world a more dangerous place,” Cruz said.

As reported by the New York Times back in August of last year, U.S. officials believe somewhere between 70 and 100 Americans have left to join the ranks of ISIS. That number has likely increased. The potential 2016 runner has released a video on how Obama has been misleading the American people as to the exact threat such groups impose on Americans.
