Angry Cops To Man Filming Arrest: You Have No Rights, You Have No Freedom Of Speech

Mike Miller
On February 26, 2014

http://mikesright.wordpress.com/

A man videotaping Baltimore County police as they arrested two people was approached by at least two different officers and not only angrily threatened with arrest, but told he had no rights.

The man asked the officers several times what he was doing wrong. When he tried to remind them “I have my rights,” things quickly went downhill, with one angry cop responding: “You just lost them.”

Police gone wild? Or was the man filming the arrests in the wrong?

Here’s what followed: The man was not arrested. County police officials say they recognize and respect the rights of citizens to film officers on duty in a public place, unless the person filming has violated a law or statute, and that they are investigating the altercation.

After a Democrat Praises Cuba, Marco Rubio Blasts Communism Like No U.S. Politician Since Reagan

  | On 25, Feb 2014 - http://www.ijreview.com

After Democratic Senator Tom Harkin praised Cuba on several issues, Senator Marco Rubio gave what has been called by Miami Herald reporter Marc Caputo as the “best oration of his career.” Its passion and candor about the despicable socialist regimes of Cuba and Venezuela should put those politicians who can actually praise the oppressive nations to shame. The best

lines from Rubio’s stemwinder, which is worth every minute:
  • Let me tell you what the Cubans are really good at, because they don’t know how to run their economy, they don’t know how to build, they don’t know how to govern a people. What they are really good at is repression.
  • He cited a poll, ‘More Americans want normal relations with Cuba.’ So do I — a democratic and free Cuba. But you want us to reach out and develop friendly relationships with a serial violator of human rights, who supports what’s going on in Venezuela and every other atrocity on the planet? On issue after issue, they are always on the side of the tyrants. Look it up. And this is who we should be opening up to? Why don’t they change? Why doesn’t the Cuban government change? Why doesn’t the Venezuelan government change?
  • But here’s the great news. I don’t know if they get C-SPAN in Cuba. I bet you the government people do. I hope you see that in America, we’re a free society. You’re allowed to come on the floor and you’re allowed to say and spread whatever you want. You think Cuba’s a paradise? You think it’s an example and a model that we should be following? You’re free to say that, here, in the press and anywhere you want. But we’re also free to come here and tell the truth. We’re also free to come here and denounce the violations of human rights and brutality.
That’s just a sample of this awesome speech that hopefully will change the game and encourage more politicians to come out openly against the global scourge of socialism.

We'll put Senator, so glad you and a few others are paying attention...
We must stand up for human rights !

Ousted Piers Morgan Shoots Off One Final Warning to the NRA

His CNN show is ending, but Piers Morgan warned the National Rifle Association on Monday that he’s “not done” with them.

“I wouldn’t get too excited @NRA – I’m not done with you yet,” Morgan tweeted.

CNN confirmed that “Piers Morgan Live” is going off the air after suffering perennially low ratings, though has not said when the final show will air. The New York Times reported it will end “probably in March.”

During his tenure on the program, Morgan has made himself a clear opponent of the NRA.

After reports of the show’s cancellation surfaced Sunday, the NRA tweeted the news from its official Twitter account, presumably prompting the tweet back from Morgan.

The NRA did not respond to Morgan’s warning.

Morgan is reportedly in talks with CNN to stay on in some capacity, though it’s unclear what that would be.

Glenn Beck on Iranian Warships

Iranian warships are headed toward the U.S. Maritime border for the first time.

Washington (CNN) -- A senior Iranian naval official said Iran is sending warships toward U.S. maritime borders to send a message -- a move a U.S. defense official characterized as an announcement, not a deployment.

"Iran's military fleet is approaching the United States' maritime borders, and this move has a message," Adm. Afshin Rezayee Haddad said, the semiofficial Fars news agency reported Saturday.

The plan, according to Fars, is a response to the United States beefing up its naval presence in the Persian Gulf. The U.S. 5th Fleet is based in Bahrain.
Haddad said the Iranian fleet was approaching the Atlantic Ocean "via the waters near South Africa," a claim that has not been confirmed.
A U.S. military official told CNN there was no operational information to support the claim.
"They do send some ships from time to time to the Gulf of Aden for unilateral counter piracy operations. In theory, a couple of ships could go there and then off south down towards the cape," the official said.

"Announcement not deployment"

It's not the first time Iran has made such a threat, a U.S. defense official said.
"It's important to understand that, at this point, we have an announcement not a deployment. They've stated this aspiration before," said the defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.

In 2011, Iran twice announced plans to send ships toward the U.S. maritime borders.
"Freedom of the seas doesn't just apply to fish. It applies to all maritime nations, all navies, everywhere -- so long as they understand the responsibilities which come with that freedom," the defense official said.

"So if they chose to send their ships to the Atlantic, I'm sure they won't be surprised to find many, many others already there."

The Iranian navy is the smallest of its military forces, according to GlobalSecurity.org, which tracks defense and intelligence issues.
